She has authored several publications and book chapters around neuropsychological assessment, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral treatment for different mental health conditions, yoga for addiction, and has written a book on yoga and mental health, Yin Yoga Therapy (Singing Dragon, 2022).
Dr. Meyers uses transformative nervous system regulation tools backed by science including iRest yoga nidra, a form of non-sleep deep rest (NSDR) based on deep relaxation and meditative inquiry. An iRest session involves guiding individuals through a 10-step protocol that provides tools to address feelings, emotions, and sensations in the body. She has seen firsthand how many people can benefit from iRest especially those who struggle with insomnia and anxiety. When sleep improves, there is a natural cascade of other benefits emotionally and physically including improving mood regulation, decreasing emotional reactivity, and developing a general sense of well-being. In addition to iRest, Dr. Meyers also weaves other modalities into her individual therapy sessions including polyvagal exercises to promote safety and connection, gentle yoga and movement, psychological inquiry, and self-compassion practices to help individuals deal with difficult emotions, beliefs, and past negative events by reconnecting with their deep, innate sense of wholeness.
”My commitment to integrative medicine stems from a deep belief in treating the whole person, not just symptoms. By combining neuropsychology, mindfulness, and yoga, I aim to create a holistic approach to mental health—empowering individuals to achieve wellness and balance in every aspect of their lives. Whether through psychotherapy, teaching, or guiding mindfulness practices, I strive to bridge traditional and complementary practices to foster true healing and resilience.”
